OFF-(trap)PISTE Belgian-style Grand Cru

This Belgian-style strong ale was brewed with Continental pilsner malt, light candi sugar, and German Perle hops. A subtle phenolic spiciness is contributed by an authentic Trappist yeast strain in primary fermentation, and a secret blend of brewing herbs and spices. Aged over one year, it is full-bodied, with a sweet, grainy malt character, complex yeast aroma, and smooth, hoppy finish.

OG: 1.080 FG: 1.015 ABV: 8.5%

An explanation of the name of this beer:
Off-piste- Existing or taking place on snow that has not been compacted into tracks: off-piste skiing. Yup, I like winter sports.
Trappist- An official appellation denoting a beer produced by Trappist monks, order of St. Benedict. It is illegal to use the moniker trappist in production of a secular product.

My use of the word trappist is meant to let the consumer know that this is a Belgian-style ale, however, as it is parenthetical, the “trap” is silent. This’ll probably offend some beer purists, which is exactly the sort of thing I enjoy doing.
Cheers,
~Will
