SMOKE GETS IN YOUR RYE
This brew is a fusion of several different beer styles.
It combines fresh English hops (Challenger and Fuggles varieties), American and British malted rye, and beechwood smoked barley malt imported from Bamberg, Germany. The result is interesting and flavorful, and quite drinkable. Served unfiltered, S.G.I.Y.R. is a deep, hazy gold in color- rye, like wheat, is a husk-less grain which leaves a slight haze suspended in the finished beer. A fresh, fruity malt and hop aroma first greets the nose, flavors of tart malt merge into a smooth but rich smokiness, and a hoppy, I.P.A.-like finish balances it all out. “S.G.I.Y.R.” is excellent on its own, but we also recommend pairing it with meats and veggies from our own grille and smoker.
